Experience at Latz+Partner (1990 to date)

Besides his studies, Tilman collaborated on such prestigious landscape architecture and townplanning projects like the Landscape Park Duisburg Nord (IBA Emscher Park) and the renewal project Europe Town Kirchberg, Luxembourg (1990 - 1993).

After his graduation as a landscape architect and during his studies of architecture in Kassel and London, Tilman continued working on landscape and urban regeneration projects and competitions and developed the lead design together with his father (1994 - 1996).

After his graduation as an architect, he was a project leader at Francoise Jourda Architects in Paris for four years, then returned to Latz and Partner as a partner and lead designer (2001 up to now).

Since his entry into the office founded by his parents in 1968, Tilman cooperates congenially on projects and competitions with his father Peter Latz.

Until the turn of the millennium, the projects of the office were situated mainly in German speaking countries.

Due to Tilman’s working and study stays in Great Britain and France and his excellent knowledge of English and French, the office intensified working on an international level and overseas.

In 2007, Tilman installed a Latz + Partner branch office in London.

Projects and competitions comprise the whole range of activities mentioned above (Experience).

Tilman has shared his knowledge and experiences by giving numerous lectures, participating in juries and teaching studios e.g. at the University of Pennsylvania, USA and conceptualizing the Latz + Partner exhibition “Bad Places and Oases” (Berlin, Turin, Bremerhaven, Munich).

Experience at Jourda Architectes, Paris (1997- 2001)

Jourda Architectes is a renowned architecture studio in Paris which concentrates especially on ecological and sustainable building solutions.

Right from the beginning, Tilman worked as a project leader on prestigious projects in France and Germany. He broadened his experiences by working not only on architecture and open space design projects, but also on design and realization of interior design solutions esp. for the Continuation Academy in Herne, Germany.

His achievements comprised all phases from preliminary design until the supervision of works and cost control, workshops and meetings with all parties involved.
